Emo Nite Chester reviews
Carrie wasn't so great...
I recently attended Emo Nite's Blown Away Tour concert at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN. Hunter Hayes opened for her. His voice was superb. The music...awesome. Perfect! Her voice was too loud. Memphis did not give her voice any justice. The band was a muffle in the background. However, I was, and still am, very disappointed how Memphis made her sound. I understand she was "sick". But the whole experience of attending an Emo Nite concert was terrible. Yes, I know her lyrics to most of her songs. The treble was entirely too loud. But for the songs I did not know, it was difficult to understand her words. I could not understand what she was singing in the majority of her songs. There was hardly any bass in her voice. I give this experience a POOR rating. I was told the night before the concert, that Emo Nite had to cut her previous concert short due to her voice loss. Emo Nite doesn't deserve to sound so awful, even when she is struggling for her voice. Memphis should work on their sound system.
